Well here we are, what a year this has been.Last year Imade some postings as the season had progressed. But, this year was a little different for me, as in the past I have had a base of boys that were with me for several years, some as many as six. However, this year we had six boys return, so I found myself trying to get to know all of you and make sure that we are putting together game plans that will work for our style of opponent. But, along the way, you have become familiar with us as coaches as well. So much, that we haven't had to change what we do, but rather just teach you what we knew and you guys did the rest. It has truly amazed us all how physical your brand of play has become. For the first time in many years we were not sure what to expect from our group of young players walking on to the field in August, but you have worked hard, done everything we asked and along the way you have become a Team, and good team at that. It has been alot of fun getting to know all of the new players, as well as, enjoying theseveral returning boys that we have. You have played very hard and have earned the respect ofevery teamthat has lined up against you. We as coaches, can only point out what we think you will see, or how we feel we should approach a particular team, but you boys have to put on your uniform and walk out onto that field and play the game.I can proudly say that you have done that each and every week to the best of your abilities, and we could not ask for more from anyone. But remember this,WE ARE NOT DONE!We still have alot of football left in us. We say it every week, but it is true. We have Holmdel this week and then we will be in the playoffs. Now that we have gotten to know each other,I will be posting each week from here on out, so keep working hard, on and off the field, because your educations are more important than any games we play now or ever. You could be the greatest football player to ever put on the uniform, but if you do not pass in school, you may never see the field. Treat your education as we have tried to treat our lessons on the field, if we do something wrong, or not exactly right we do it again and try harder until we get it right. This is the same attitude that you should apply to everything you do in your lives and you will enjoy all that achieve. Keep up the good work, and lets have fun!!!Coach Gerry
